But we also know the limitations of the system and understand for which tasks WordPress is not so well suited. Website Maintenance
A successful website is never finished. The support and expansion of your online presence require expertise and continuous attention. Whether you want to continue our jointly started website project long-term after the Go-Live, or whether you decide to use your resources more targeted, we can support you with a maintenance contract.
Components of the Maintenance Contract
We take care of regular backups of all website data as well as the database. The frequency depends on how often new content is published. Typically, backups of the last three days and the last three months are available. The backups are stored on an external server in Germany.
We ensure that the essential functions of the website for your business – such as forms, e-commerce functions, or newsletter sign-ups – work flawlessly. To do this, we test the website at least once a month.
We keep an eye on technical and legal changes and inform you if action is needed. We implement minor adjustments as part of the monthly maintenance and inform you afterward. For more extensive adjustments or issues that cannot be implemented without consultation, we will contact you.
We point out any editorial optimization potentials that you can then fix independently. If desired, we provide assistance in handling the Content Management System (CMS).
Upon request and at a reduced hourly rate, we implement adjustments and extensions. These include:
- Changes to the structure, design, and functionality of the website,
- the creation of photos, graphics, or animations,
- communication with external service providers such as agencies, designers, or providers,
- webmastering tasks within standard environments.
We provide technical support and general advice. In case of malfunctions, we base our response times and communication channels on different levels of urgency during our usual business hours:
- Critical malfunctions (High priority): We respond within 4 hours (same working day) and fix the problem as soon as possible.
- Significant malfunctions (Medium priority): We respond within 8 hours (same working day) and fix the problem within 3 working days or as soon as possible.
- Other malfunctions (Low priority): We respond within 5 working days and fix the problem within 5 working days or as soon as possible.
To ensure the quality standards we strive for together, we usually allocate at least one hour of support activity per month in the contract as a WordPress Agentur Frankfurt – for environments requiring more maintenance, we will accordingly require more time. Unused times will be saved for six months and expire.
If your WordPress website was not created by us, we conduct a quality check of the maintenance areas handed over at the beginning of the maintenance period. These include, in particular, security and performance settings on the server, in the CMS, and/or the backend of the web hoster. For this quality check and project setup, we charge a one-time fee, which depends on the complexity of the previously financed environment.
